Juventus defeat Lyon 1-0

If there is any team that knows how to win even when performing badly, it's Juventus.

Forced to suffer until the end, 10-man Juve earned a hard fought 1-0 win over Lyon to guide them back to the top of Group H in the Champions League.

Doing little to merit their favourites tag, Juventus lacked creativity and struggled to penetrate a Lyon side that defended in numbers, asserted their physicality and looked to impose their pace whenever allowed to counter-attack.

Juventus were only awakened from their slumber when Mario Lemina was sent off and Juan Cuadrado was introduced. With their backs against the wall, the Bianconeri increased the intensity and played with pride to score the winning goal and defend collectively to secure maximum points in Lyon.
