It may have only been a draw, and perhaps much is owed to goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, but Juventus showed more signs of revival against Borussia Monchengladbach in Tuesday's Champions League match than they managed in their last Serie A match vs. Torino.
Playing with elegance and charm, a defensive mistake coupled with a horrifying two-footed tackle cost them victory but despite the struggles, the Bianconerishowed themselves to be a better side and one that deserves progression.
Ultimately Massimiliano Allegri got his tactics wrong. Opting for a 4-3-1-2 shape, he allowed Monchengladbach the opportunity to demonstrate their strength in the wide areas, exploiting the space made available to them.
