Once again, Fiorentina did what they do best. They controlled possession and rotated the ball, yet they rarely troubled their opponents.
Seemingly impotent in front of goal, they missed Giuseppe Rossi's intellect and Juan Cuadrado's pace and direct play. Without these two assets, the Bianconeri's defence felt confident and capable of dealing with the mild threat.
