At long last we see Juventus perform to expectation in Europe, playing the mesmeric brand of football that has enchanted Italian viewers. Had they performed with the same courage and conviction in the Champions League, they would have perhaps been well on their way to qualifying for the quarter-finals, but instead they jetted off to Turkey to defeat Trabzonspor 2-0 in the Europa League, leaving the Turks feeling inadequate in the face of such superior opponents.
Essentially, Trabzonspor's failure to manage a performance was due to their inability to deal with Juventus' runners from midfield who continuously exposed the back-line. With options everywhere, it was difficult for the Turks to contain the pressure.
